A Visionary Musical Artist + Storyteller

A New York native and child of Haitian immigrants, Jacques fell in love with hip-hop at a very young age. Raised on Nas, Jay-z and Biggie he admired their raw storytelling skills and their ability to paint vivid pictures with words. Although he first started rapping while in college in Philadelphia he didn’t take it seriously until he moved back to his hometown of Newburgh after graduation. Jacques wanted to find a way to not only share the painful and raw stories of his small city but also share his own personal story as a product of Newburgh and Haitian ancestry.

It only made sense that he use music as the medium of communication. Eventually he released his debut project “Homecoming” in 2018. Soon after he was brought on tour with Cozz of J. Cole’s Dreamville. Since then, Jacques has performed in several cities, worked with renowned producers and artists and released two more projects.

Most recently, still remaining independent, Jacques began a partnership with grammy award winning producer Che Pope to create new music, grow his sound and continue to tell stories for the voiceless
